JACKFLASH is about storytelling, stories about unique and sincere human beings, stories that speak to everyone, told through the eyes of our directors without smoke and mirrors.
Our French directors capture these emotions with a disarming naturalness by blurring the boundaries between advertising, brand content and documentary and decide to break free from the usual codes of the genre by mixing live style, fashion, luxury or even sports.
JACKFLASH is first and foremost a studio devoted to images and words, where the voice of each filmmaker counts and resonates through their expertise to create projects that are unique, authentic and emotive.
OUR TEAM
James Hagger
James Hagger is the founder and producer of JACKFLASH. He began his career working in London as an Assistant Director on Feature Films in the late 90’s working with such directors as Nick Love, Kevin Reynolds, Christian Volckman & Harmony Korine. It’s in 2008 that James moved to Paris to open the TROUBLEMAKERS Group. In the last 15 years James has produced over a hundred and fifty live action and animated films, from fictions to documentaries, to short films and commercials. James is a member of the SPI, the CJD, a board member of the UPC in charge of international relations representing French Producers and the Co-President of the CFP-Europe.
Robin Noël
Robin began his career in feature films alongside Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache for the company Quad Films, assisting them on internationally acclaimed films such as "Intouchables" and "Samba". Afterwards, he produced numerous advertising campaigns for prestigious clients such as LVMH and L'Oréal, within the Havas Paris agency. His various projects led him to work successively in New York, London and Bangkok, where he discovered and tamed other cultures and audiovisual practices, sharpening his taste for 2D and 3D animation. He joined JACKFLASH in 2020, sharing founder James Hagger's ambition to develop and carry ambitious projects, blurring the imposed boundaries of genre and technique.
Jean Méranger-Galtier
Jean first studied screenwriting at Paris-Nanterre University. He was then hired at KABO Family as Literary Assistant, where he worked most notably on the series The Island of Thirty Coffins. After that he worked as a script reader for some time. In 2022, he joined the JACKFLASH. Jean specializes in animated image education, giving lectures and writing pedagogical documents for various institutions (the CNC, Normandie Image, Les Cahiers du Cinéma). He writes episodes for several animated kids TV shows broadcasted in the UK, France, Germany, and other countries.
Giulia Imbert
Giulia is in her third year studying Modern and Medieval Literature at Oxford University, where she is majoring in English and French. Having adapted her university curriculum to focus on media and audiovisual studies, Giulia joined the Oxford student magazine team as art director and has also organised numerous photography and painting exhibitions alongside her studies. Currently based in Paris for her year abroad, Giulia has joined the JACKFLASH team as a production assistant.
